Buddy holds a PhD in Finance, Stern School of Business, NYU and was awarded the Hermann E Krooss Award for the Most Outstanding Dissertation.  
Buddy began his career as an Assistant Professor of Finance at Stern School of Business, NYU, and the Smith School of Business, U of Maryland.
Buddy held positions as Head of special opportunities at MerchantBridge, projects including the $2 billion Asia Cell and $1 billion Aluminium Smelter transactions.   
He was Head of Product Development at Masraf Al Rayan with projects including $300 million Lusail Development and £1 billion Chelsea Barracks in London.

Buddy was also the Global Head of Commodity Finance at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, projects ranging from oil-linked loans to GCC countries and major oil companies such as Ecopetrol, Pemex, and Petrobras.
Additionally, he was Co-Head of Special Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Head of Capital Markets Middle East at Merrill Lynch, projects included Dubal's $1 billion synthetic Aluminium Put embedded in a $250 million Loan (DEAL OF THE YEAR), Innuagural $400 million Eurobond for the Republic of Lebanon (DEAL OF THE YEAR).
